I’m starting a new painting which can be seen in the image below, it is a new pixel rose, this one pink and white. I’m a bit stuck on inspiration at this time and keep finding myself drawn to roses over and over again. I think it is because they have nice curves and gradients which work so well with this style of painting.
You can see the template below which I created in Photoshop. I lightly painted the canvas before applying tape, this is for when I occasionally miss on the taping and a small line is left between coats of paint, it doesn’t end up being noticeable when the background is a similar colour. I also use a spoon now to make the tape tight with the canvas and have no bleeds.
