I have just put my application in for the Beaux-Arts Brampton open juried art show. I will be submitting 2 paintings with the chance to win cash prizes and a chance to display my art at their gallery. I decided to submit the Focus painting and the new portrait painting I am working on now. I asked friends and family from facebook to submit photos and got a great response, but I have yet to decide on which to use first. The image you see is my background in progress, it will be a pixel gradient background in squares with a pixel foreground of circles which will have the face.
I plan to learn more about the Beaux-Arts Brampton artist cooperative, it has a gallery downstairs, artist studios upstairs, and great contemporary art covering all walls. They host many shows, workshops, and classes. Check them out if you are in the area.
